Creating the identity of a one-of-a-kind festival
Ambre Kowalski was opening her first wine shop after ten years as a sommelier in Michelin-starred restaurants in Lyon. Her project was precise: a selection of natural wines and committed producers, in a space designed as a cabinet of wine curiosities. She had everything except a name and an image.
The work began with choosing the name — Cave Ambre — a play on the founder's first name and the golden colour of wine. From there, the visual world was built around the idea of transparency: natural wine as a window onto a terroir, a season, a hand.
